Sweet, fluffy and delectable rice and coconut milk batter cakes baked in banana leaves and topped with dairy-free cheese.

Though a popular staple at Christmas, when they are sold fresh and hot out of a portable charcoal oven outside of churches when the early morning services (Simbang Gabi) finish, they are now enjoyed all throughout the year.

SUGGESTED USAGES: Warm them in the oven or microwave until hot through, and enjoy them with anything from salted butter to clotted cream to custard to ice cream, or with our favourite toppings when we sell them: Don Papa Rum Salted Coconut Caramel or Barako Coffee Buttercream (buy them here)
